We plan all our group rides via Strava. Strava offers the club a convenient platform to plan dates and routes as well as connect with our ride leaders. You must request access to our strava club in order to see our rides, but prior to that, you must sign up for the club or sign our single-ride waiver.

In the event of conflicting information between this page and Strava, Strava governs. Routes and meeting locations may change on ride leader availability, construction, or weather. Strava is always your best bet.

How fast are the rides? Check out the pace descriptions here.

When are rides cancelled/modified?

Precipitation - it is raining at the start of the ride or at the ride leader’s discretion. If it is iffy, ride leaders may elect to postpone, with all changes communicated via strava.

Air Quality - in the the event of a Special Air Quality Advisory issued by Environment Canada or if the AQI exceeds 150 (AQI readings can be found on IQAir and Purple Air). Dependent on these 2 sources there may be an opportunity to shorten or adjust the route (higher AQI’s in the south and lower in the north could be an opportunity to ride to the north on a shortened route) If it is iffy, ride leaders may elect to postpone, with all changes communicated via strava.

Wind - gusts in excess of 59 km/h. If there are gusts between 40 - 59 km/h then ride leaders may amend routes as need to ensure rider safety. Ride leaders may choose to be more conservative based on environmental conditions. Wind conditions can be found on Windy.com. If it is iffy, ride leaders may elect to postpone, with all changes communicated via strava.

Heat - 30-37 Celsius: Routes will be modified to allow for a water refill stop with shade every hour where possible. Ride intensity should also be adjusted accordingly. At above 37 Celsius rides are cancelled.

Off Season Rides

During the early (Feb-April) and late season (Oct-Nov), scheduled rides will be sporadic based on overall weather conditions, and impromptu rides may happen due to periods of good weather. Strava will be your best bet for these "pick-up" rides. All pick-up rides are unofficial and you do not need to be a member to ride with us, however, will carry no insurance. All the rides listed in our schedule and below are official rides which you must be a member to participate in.
